Rebecca Frezza has had a love of movement and dance that goes back to her childhood. She earned a certificate in dance from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and went on to a successful career in Musical Theater. Rebecca then earned a fitness certification from Marymount Manhattan College and spent 5 years working as a personal fitness trainer in NYC. After having children, Rebecca spent a number of years in the children’s music business  writing, performing and teaching music. During that time she continued to pursue her own fitness goals and searched for a form of exercise that would inspire her.

When Rebecca stepped into her first Bikram Yoga class she knew she had found what she was looking for. She discovered a class that was physically challenging but at the same time, spiritually centered. The steady intense flow and meditative quality of the class was hypnotic and she was hooked. She studied the Barkan Method (a hot yoga practice that combines elements of Vinyasa with the 26 Bikram postures) and earned her 200 HR certification with Jimmy Barkan. As a teacher, Rebecca strives to create an encouraging environment in which people can recognize their own power and grace and practice safely, no matter what their experience level.
